Delta Airlines : Boeing 717-200
For today's video, here is a full flight experience on board Delta Airlines' Boeing 717 from Newark to Atlanta!
This flight was Delta Airlines Flight 2453 DAL2453/DL2453 with service to Hartsfield Jackson International Airport (KATL/ATL) from Newark Liberty International Airport (KEWR/EWR).
The aircraft I flew was N915AT, a Boeing 717-231, which had it's first flight in March 2001, making the aircraft 13.6 years old!
During the video, I was sitting in Seat 23E.
FLIGHT EXPERIENCE :
Information about Delta Airlines : Delta Airlines is one of the "big 3" carriers of the United States, and serves many destinations in the world internationally with a large variety of aircraft. Delta's fares are usually low cost and they offer good in-flight entertainment most of the time. The legroom is also good on most of their airplanes.
Seats : Delta has the usual First Class and Economy Class. They offer a section called Economy Comfort which is located in the coach cabin, which has better legroom and more boarding time. Find out more about Economy Comfort on Delta's website : http://bit.ly/PUkkBv
The seat configuration of Delta's Boeing 717-200's is 2 x 3.
Delta's 717 seats are comfortable, soft and have nice legroom. The recline is also pretty good for a plane like this. Find the seat information here at Delta's site : http://bit.ly/1G48wTw
Delta offers USB and power ports onboard the plane throughout the ENTIRE cabin for FREE!
Food/Beverage : Delta uses the standard carts to haul food and drinks around the aisles of the airplane. They offer complimentary Coca Cola beverages and 3 choices of free snacks, which include mini pretzels, cinnamon cookies and peanuts. Delta pours the drink into the a plastic cup. See the dining options here : http://www.delta.com/content/www/en_US/traveling-with-us/in-flight-services/flying-economy-with-delta.html#dining
Flight Attendants : The flight attendants on board this flight were excellent, very accommodating and always had a smile on their faces - I can tell that they enjoyed their jobs and loved to help others! Out of my several Delta flights, all but one group of flight attendants have been fantastic, this set of crew was probably the best.
Turbulence : There was none during this flight, a very smooth ride.
Delays : We were on schedule and arrived early on this flight! Good job to Delta for no delays :)
In-Flight Entertainment : On this flight, there were no Personal TV's or any AVOD entertainment - the 717 fleet is not equipped with these because they are used for short haul routes. The entertainment included the magazines...and looking out the window ;) Just kidding...there is also On-Demand audio streaming in all classes of the 717. There is also gogo in-flight WiFi available for purchase, but on this flight, the network was down.
Baggage Costs : I did not choose to check in any bags, I put my luggage in the overhead compartments. If I did check a bag, it would have to weigh under 50 lbs and not exceed over 62 inches in total dimensions (length + width + height). And of course, you are allowed one personal item and one carry-on item for free! Anyways, please check out this link for more info on Delta's baggage policies : http://www.delta.com/content/www/en_US/traveling-with-us/baggage.html
Overall, Delta Airlines is the best out of the three major US carriers in my opinion. Usually, you can't go wrong with them unless there is a major problem. With the low prices and all the amenities you receive for free, Delta is always worth it!

Copa Airlines : Boeing 737-800
If you want to go to Central or South America and want a cheap, but good quality airline, Copa Airlines is for you! This is the flag carrier of Panama and has 69 destinations, with a fleet size of 96. Copa flies out of major airports such as New York JFK, Chicago O'Hare, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Montreal, Orlando, Tampa and Washington Dulles to places in South / Central America's. A full list of their destinations can be found here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copa_Airlines#Destinations
The Copa experience is pretty good. The food is not exactly the best thing in the world, but it's edible. The seats are comfortable and very much like Continental Airlines. Legroom is fine and so is the recline.
Check out the video below for more of the review! It is from a different channel (my old channel). The editing is crappy and it is old...sorry about that!

JetBlue Airways : Airbus A320-200
FLIGHT EXPERIENCE:
Information about JetBlue: JetBlue Airways is a lowcost airline that serves the United States and areas in the Carribean, The Bahamas, Bermuda, Barbados, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico and Puerto Rico. They offer great service, and give many complimentary things - including 36 channels of live tv, snacks, beverages, music and other things. They also are known for having the best legroom of any airline in economy.
Seats: Jetblue does not have a first or business class section, but has a section of the aircraft called "Even More Space". This is a seat that has 4 more inches of legroom than the regular economy seat. You can find out more about Even More Space seats on JetBlue's website here:http://www.jetblue.com/flying-on-jetb...
The rest of the aircraft is economy seats.
The seat of the JetBlue A320 is not hard, it is soft and comfortable. It reclines nicely.
The seat configuration on JetBlue's Airbus aircraft are 3-3.
Food/Beverage: In most airlines, you see that they use carts in the aisles to serve beverages and drinks. JetBlue does not do that, they use mid-size baskets holding snacks (name-brand chips, pretzels, popcorns and others), and carry the drinks (they do not pour it into the cup like Delta, they give you the ENTIRE can/bottle and a cup with it. You also get a napkin) Find more about JetBlue's food and drink here:http://www.jetblue.com/flying-on-jetb...
Flight Attendants: The Flight Attendants on JetBlue 927 were very friendly, kind and nice. They always smile and seem to love their jobs! :) They actually care about you. In all of my 5 flights flying JetBlue, I have never experienced anything bad with the flight attendants, as they are always caring and attentive.
Turbulence: We had a very smooth flight overall, except for a little bump here or there so turbulence was nothing to worry about on my flight.
Delays: We were delayed half an hour or so at Newark due to a computer problem with the aircraft. The maintenance crew were able to fix the issue quickly, and approximately 5 minutes after leaving the gate, we were departing the skies of New York.
In-Flight Entertainment: JetBlue offers complimentary 36 channels of DirectTV that is live, and SiriusXM music. You can find the list of free channels on JetBlue's website, here: http://www.jetblue.com/flying-on-jetb...
Baggage Costs: On JetBlue, your first bag is always free - a big PLUS for me! The bag cannot exceed 62 inches in overall dimensions, and cannot exceed over 50 pounds (22.73 kilos).
You can also bring a carry-on bag and a personal item (e.g. purse, briefcase, laptop) for free. To check dimensions and weight information about the carry-on and personal item, check the JetBlue website here: http://www.jetblue.com/flying-on-jetb...
WiFi: JetBlue does not have wifi yet, but their first Wi-Fi equipped aircraft will be ready this season (Fall 2013).
Overall, JetBlue is an airline that you can NEVER go wrong with. With all the complimentary items and things you receive, you will be sure to love your experience on JetBlue!

US Airways : Airbus A320-200
FLIGHT EXPERIENCE :
Information about US Airways: US Airways is a major US airline that is now owned by American Airlines. Currently, it has 193 destinations in 24 countries in North America, South America, Europe and the Middle East. It is a member of the OneWorld Alliance - before the merger with American Airlines, it was part of Star Alliance. They have a fleet of 343 mainline aircraft and 278 regional jets and turboprops. On the US Airways Airbus A320, there is no personal tv, or any tv at all. They do give complimentary beverages, but there is a cost for snacks and food. The airline does have meal boxes for purchase as well. The legroom in the A320 was great and better than I expected. The seats were comfortable and soft with a reasonable amount of recline.
Seating: The A320 has two classes : first class and economy/coach. You can view the entire seat map of the aircraft here :http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/US_A...
The US Airways economy seat is very nice, with good recline and excellent legroom. The economy seat configuration of the US Airways A320 is 3-3 while first class is 2-2.
Food/Beverage: Most airlines use carts to pass out drinks and snacks, and US Airways follows those rules. Certain beverages are complimentary while others are not. All foods are paid. Unlike JetBlue, flight attendants pour the drink in a plastic cup while Jetblue gives you the entire can/bottle. You will also get a napkin alongside your drink. Find out more about the food and beverage on US Airways here :http://www.usairways.com/en-US/travel...
Flight Attendants: The flight attendants on AWE773 were kind. They smiled when they were helping passengers and were attentive to everybody's needs. The flight attendants did chat together often in the back of the plane loudly, so sometimes it was annoying.
Turbulence : Other than a few bumps here and there, the flight was smooth.
Delays : We boarded the aircraft late, but the captain managed to depart PHL on time.
In-Flight Entertainment: There are no PTV's. US Airways does have magazines in the seat pocket.
Baggage Costs: For domestic flights, the first bag is $25 USD. The second bag is $35 USD. Bag 3 is $150. Four bags in up is $400. Find out more about the baggage policies of US Airways here : http://www.usairways.com/en-US/travel...
WiFi : The Airbus A320 of US Airways is equipped with WiFi. Gogo was offering a free promotion so I was able to get free wifi from 37,000 feet!
US Airways is a great airline and will become better when the merger with American is complete. Signing up for the promotion in-flight is a good deal - flight attendants offered the US Airways master card with 40,000 miles free! I signed up as it is well worth it.
